Human Rights and Equal Opportunities Commission (HREOC) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner [click]
HREOC monitors the enjoyment and exercise of human rights for Indigenous Australians. The position was created in response to the finding of the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody and the National Inquiry into Racist Violence, as well as the extreme social and economic disadvantage faced by Indigenous Australians.
National Sorry Day Committee [click]
This community-based organisation was formed as a result of the Bringing them home report's recommendation that a National Sorry Day be held each year on 26 May 'to commemorate the history of forcible removals and its effects.' The National Sorry Day Committe continues to work with the Stolen Generations, Indigenous communities, government, community organisations and individuals to work for the realisation of the 54 recommendations of the Bringing them home report.
Australians for Native Title and Reconciliation (ANTaR) [click]
A national network of mainly non-Indigenous organisations and individuals working in support of justice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia. Central to ANTaR's activities is the Sea of Hands, to which over 300 000 Australians have put their signatures.

A national non-profit organisation working to promote reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. Reconciliation Australia works by forming partnerships with corporations, Indigenous and non-Indigenous organisations, government and community groups, and individuals.
UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues [click]
An advisory body to the Economic and Social Council with a mandate to discuss indigenous issues relating to economic and social development, culture, the environment, education, health and human rights.

A divsion of the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress, Narana Creations is an Aborginal cultural tourism and educational enterprise committed to showing visitors the richness of Indigenous culture.

An agency of the National Assembly of the Uniting Church, Frontier Services is the major provider of aged care, health and community services, and pastoral support to people in Outback Australia. Frontier Services works across 85 percent of the Australian continent in regional centres, Aboriginal communities and isolated properties.
Aboriginal Resource Development Services (ARDS) [click]
An incorporated Aboriginal organisation, and the community developemnt arm of the Northern Regional Council of Congress (NRCC). The NRCC is the Aboriginal and Islander Presbytery of the Northern Synod of the Uniting Church.

A college for Indigenous Australians, situated in northern Darwin, which offers courses for adults who want to learn about God, or about how to help their families and communities.
